Company History
Gatherworks, Inc. originally formed in 2003 to provide software add-ons for video conferencing, but quickly decided to change direction when it saw a need in the marketplace for web conferencing.
GatherPlace was introduced soon after as a web conferencing service developed to assist small and medium sized businesses communicate, collaborate, and sell without breaking the bank. GatherPlace has grown to support companies in more than 80 countries.

The Potter's School (TPS), development started on a new product offering. The school recognized their need for a new registration system that would solve the problems unique to their homeschool educational space so they turned to us and the resulting product was named
StudyPlace. StudyPlace is a web-based platform that offers a variety of valuable features including flexible family payment schedules, automated invoices and payment tracking, and 24-hr online family access to enrollment and billing transactions. The platform also incorporates a powerful learning management tool that enables TPS teachers to post assignments, accept online submissions, create and grade tests online, and much more.
About Our Founder
Frik Strecker is Founder, President and CEO of GatherWorks. He has more than 20 years experience in Internet and web technologies. Prior to forming GatherWorks, Mr. Strecker held various executive positions at First Virtual Communications including Chief Technology Officer, Vice President of Worldwide Customer Support and Vice President of Engineering, where he played a key role in the architecture of the Click to Meet family of products. Mr. Strecker also held product line management positions at FORE Systems.
